A couple of summers ago, Emily picked a naked mole rat for her gift from the Henry Doorly Zoo.  I had never heard of such a thing and figured that I would never hear of it again.  That is until Emily managed to pick this book up at school:

I decided to celebrate the girls 1/2 birthdays today...not sure why, but seemed like a fun idea.  The girls were pumped to get some batter from the birthday cake.

We've started doing homework in the basement.  It took me a while to put together, but she was really having trouble at the kitchen table because it was too big for her.  Turns out we have had MUCH more success at a table her size!
