Look what Katie got stuck in her hair...
Yep! A lolipop stick. I just left it in until bathtime and washed it right on out!

Next week Emily is the Kindergartner of the week. That means we need to make a poster for the class to get to know her. Tonight after dinner we ventured out to Michael's. Crafty is not my strong point, but I am ready to dig deep. (Too bad I my Aunt Jenni lives in North Carolina...if she was here I'd be bribing her with something to get some help!)
Of course I will post pictures of the finished project...stay tuned!

During the summer I took it easy with the working out. Time to get back in shape. Now the question is, did I get up when my alarm went off at 5:00 on Monday morning...
Yes I did...got a 5K I'm training for! :)
I know, I know the picture quality is horrible today.

I was spoiled last year not making a lunch for Katie. Between the girls and me and Mark it's an ordeal to make lunches at night!

Let me set the stage. I'm on the phone and highly distracted. (Not going to go into detail over the blog, but trust me I had a legitimate reason to temporarily ignore my children!) I notice Katie dropping something on the floor. Once off the phone I see this bag on the floor:
I told Emily that we must investigate. First we took pictures. Then I realize that this is the Zucchini bread we made about a month ago. I'm horrified that this had been in our house. How did this happen?!?
Later I shared the story with Mark and we put the pieces together. With all of our open houses we often times have to clean up fast. At some point in a rapid clean up the bread got buried in the back of our food cabinet. Last night Mark decided to clean out the cabinet. He discovered the bread and immediately threw it away. Not only did he throw it away he buried it in the trash can. So our little dumpster diver went diving, found it and did God only knows what with it. Thankfully the bag was sealed when I found it. I had to use tongs to touch the bread! So gross, but pretty funny!

I agreed to help Amy with some Junior League stuff this year. She sent me the agenda ahead of time. To make my life a little simpler I copied the agenda into the minutes template. I can't even begin to quantify the amount of times I've copied from one document to another. No biggie. Apparently not this time. Once copied it began to spell check all of the copied material in another language! Mark saved the day. I forgot to take a picture when my whole document was underlined in red, but trust me it was a mess!
