Emily had a BIG day today!  She jumped off the diving board with no life jacket, with nobody catching her, and swam to the side by herself.

And to think at the beginning of the summer she wouldn't put her face in the water!

Emily wanted to draw a picture of herself, but we couldn't find a hand-held mirror for her, so I told her to draw a picture of me.  While the picture is funny I was impressed with all the detail.

Emily loved the swing as a baby.  Katie...not so much.  However today as a todler this swing was a huge hit!

And of course...Happy Birthday, Mr. Kohen!

We have tried to cook things with the giant zucchini, but I'm out of ideas.  I take that back, I've made two things.  That was my attempt.  I'm done!

We spent a lot of time at the Sprint Campus today working on my phone.  I was praying the girls wouldn't end up in a fountain.  There was a few close calls, but we survived!

Roy and Patty at the Lake have a friend Dick who has one heck of a vegetable garden.  They asked us if we wanted some Zucchini.  We said sure.  This certainly wasn't what we were expecting!

We had a 1:00 showing today.  So when the house was ready at 11:00 I took the girls and ran.  No way to keep it clean for long!  Once we ran our errand to Target we headed to Chick-fil-a.  This was a nice moment before it all went crazy!

The problem with going to chick-fil-a today was that it was rainy and I wasn't the only mom that had a similar idea.  The place was fine when we got there, but it got progressively crazier by the minute.  When we got to the play area Katie climbed to the top and just started screeching!  Then Emily spotted the cow...panic set in.  The cow disappeared so Emily thought it was safe to get ice cream. 

As we are in line she spots the cow outside greeting guests.  That lead to screaming, crying and totally freaking out.  I can't exactly recall the details from there but we had to leave though the side door.  There was running that almost lead her into the drive though.  Oh and my favorite moment...before we left she lifted her dress up to wipe her nose exposing everything for everyone to see!

There have been a few moments that have pushed my buttons, but overall I've really enjoyed this summer at home with my girls.  There has been one thing that has made me crazy: the constant mess.  It doesn't matter how many times anyone picks up there is ALWAYS a mess.  Today I got smart...

Eliminate a mess maker and get them to start cleaning!
