Since we were at the Lake for Father's day, we didn't see either one of our Dads.  We decided to do a Father's day dinner for everyone a week after Father's day.  Mark requested crab legs.  Seemed simple enough.  I have totally lost track of the number of stores that we went to find what we needed, but here are girls after the first Costco.  That's where they had their lunch and as you can see Katie is wearing most of her lunch!

We've been trying so hard to keep the pots looking nice for showings, but the damn chipmunks are taking over!  So annoying!  It's like they knew that these were just potted the day before.

I have no idea why it never occurred to me to do this before,

but Emily got her first Library card today and she was elated!

PS.  If I should have done this years ago, please don't tell me.  It just never occurred to me because we always use mine!

So I realized at 9:00 tonight I hadn't taken a single picture on Father's Day!  Wow!  How is that possible?!?  We spent the whole day hanging out and relaxing at the lake.  Pictures or not is was a great day.

So what's this picture is all about.  We've been going to lake for a while now and it amazes me what an well oiled machine we've be come.  We walked in the door in 7:20.  By 9:50 all bags were unpacked and put away.  Cooler unloaded and clean.  Cat carrier taken care of.  Car cleaned out.  Both kids bathed, read stories and in bed.  In an hour and half it was like we were never gone.

Due to the rain we had a short visit at Deanna Rose today.  Rain or no rain the cousins had a great time.  I'm not sure why, but this picture makes me laugh and for that reason it's my picture of the day!

Our day was busy but going well.  We were marking one thing off the list after the other.  We were leaving my mom's to finish our afternoon.  I got in the car and heard something funny.  First I thought it was the AC.  Then I thought something was caught under the car.  I stopped.  Got out and walked the car.  I discovered that I had a very flat tire.  An hour later we had the spare on and proceeded on with the day.

I don't know how or why we gotten such a collection, but we do:

I wouldn't have known that we had such a collection until Katie pointed them out.  (There's actually more toys similar, they just didn't make the picture.) 

The problem (that Peggy and Kent discovered first) is not that Katie points them out, but it is that she is absolutely scared to death of them.  When she sees one there are shreiks of absolute panic.  If there is one in a drawer she can't continue playing or get the toy she wants until I remove it for her.  Never in a million would have thought this would be her greatest fear to date!

After multiple years of being scared to ride the ponies at the Aquinas family party, Emily faced her fears and rode like a champ!

We have located the nest in our yard.  They are asleep tonight in the plants by the pond.  It's cute, but we don't know what we are going to do with them!  I went out to on the Patio to hang pool towels to dry.  Mark got mad at me because I was scaring the ducks!  Going to have to problem solve tomorrow.
